Brigador Killers Mount Weapons on Vehicles

Use the Armory pad to turn hardpoint chassis into technicals and keep ammo topped off.

Mount Weapons

Mounting weapons is one of Brigador Killers’ signature power fantasies: take a humble chassis, bolt on hardpoints, and roll a technical into Mar Nosso traffic. The work does not happen mid-firefight with a magic radial menu. You prepare mounts at the Garage Armory pad after the Fabricator (or scavenged luck) gives you a vehicle that actually accepts guns. This guide covers the workflow, stowage limits, and how mounts interact with death risk.

Read Salvage and Fabricator if you still need hardpoints or an upgunned Liliputter. Read Inventory and Loadouts if GUN slots on foot keep rejecting the same firearm you want to vehicle-mount.

What can take mounts?

Not every car is a weapons platform. Some vehicles are pure logistics or salvage feedstock. Others—like an upgunned Liliputter—explicitly offer mount points while still limiting stowage to small firearms. Studio examples call out fitting a NOSPOL Drobac and a Heino9! onto that platform once hardpoints exist. If the Armory refuses a gun, check both hardpoint count and the mount’s stowage budget, not only whether a square glowed yellow.

Fabricator recipes may require small hardpoints and armor parts before the upgunned variant appears. Hardpoints can often be fabricated from simple parts; armor frequently comes from mission chests. Exotic pieces may demand Merchant Causeway credits.

Armory pad mounting workflow

  1. Fabricate or salvage a hardpoint-capable vehicle.
  2. Drive or haul it onto the Armory pad until the square highlights.
  3. Interact with the Armory table. The left pane should prioritize the parked vehicle, with tabs to swap to your on-foot inventory.
  4. From WEAPON storage, assign firearms that fit the available mounts and stowage.
  5. Open AMMO storage and load matching magazines before you deploy. Empty mounts are expensive sculptures.
  6. Gantry-park the finished technical so it is not auto-lost on the next deploy.

When nothing is on the pad, the Armory edits your personal inventory instead. That is useful for operator kits, but it will not magically bolt a rifle onto a car parked across the Garage. Move the vehicle.

Operator versus mount roles

A mounted gun is not a substitute for understanding foot binds. You still exit with E to handle many crates, selectors, and deposits. Think of the technical as a mobile turret and ammo mule: the driver manages angles and collision, the mounts suppress, and the on-foot kit covers elevators and Armory deposits after extract. Combat Tips covers when to stay mounted versus when to bail.

Large firearms that fail on-foot GUN slots because of stowage may still be illegal on a small-mount technical. Combat rigs and suits solve the human side; vehicle hardpoints solve the chassis side. Do not assume every “too big for pockets” gun becomes a roof ornament.

Death stakes for mounted loadouts

If you deploy in a lovingly kitted vehicle and die, that vehicle and its mounts are part of the mission stake. Garage design wants you to feel the weight of rolling out the museum piece. Practical rules:

  • Test a new mount configuration on Crow’s Field before Merchant Causeway.
  • Keep a second disposable chassis ready so one loss does not end your sandbox session.
  • Store spare small arms in Armory WEAPON tabs so remounting after a wipe is minutes, not hours of farming.
  • Remember gantry parking: an unparked technical can be scrapped or lost even without a dramatic death if you deploy carelessly—see the Garage Guide.

Expanding the arsenal around mounts

Brigador Killers advertises thirty-plus firearms spanning Nossian Corvid zipguns to Spacer man-portable tech, plus vehicles from clapped-out sedans to tanks and bipedal mechs. Mounts sit in the middle of that curve: they let small arms punch above pedestrian weight limits while you chase heavier unique platforms. Key-item deposits at the Armory also unlock combat rigs that change what you personally carry between vehicle sorties.

When you unlock new gantries, dedicate at least one slot to a “ready technical” and another to a hauler. The Agrav hauler exists because some fabricated pieces are awkward to nudge by hand; use it when remounting logistics stall.

Troubleshooting

  • Pad will not highlight: Nudge the vehicle fully onto the square; check that you are interacting with the Armory, not the Scrapper.
  • Gun will not assign: Stowage or missing hardpoints. Fabricate hardpoints or choose a smaller firearm.
  • Purchases and crates: Merchant and Fabricator auto-load behaviors need the right cargo vehicle parked on their pads—mounts alone do not create cargo beds.
  • Controls confusion: Vehicle yaw versus foot movement differs; revisit Controls.

Mounting is the moment Brigador Killers stops feeling like a loot checklist and starts feeling like an insurgent motor pool. Build the hardpoints, load the Drobacs, gantry the result, and only then pick a mission worthy of the noise. For first-hour context, return to Getting Started or finish Obstacle 1 before spending a night optimizing roof guns.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Where do I mount weapons on a vehicle?

Park the hardpoint vehicle on the Armory pad and assign compatible firearms from Armory weapon storage.

Why won't my gun attach?

The vehicle may lack hardpoints, or the firearm's stowage exceeds the mount's limit. Upgun or fabricate hardpoints first.

Do I still need ammo after mounting?

Yes. Load matching ammo from the Armory AMMO tab before deploying or the mounts will run dry immediately.

Can mounted vehicles be lost on death?

Yes. Vehicles and items brought into a mission can be lost on failure, so test expensive technicals on safer maps first.

How do I get an upgunned Liliputter?

Gather hardpoints and armor parts, park a Liliputter on the Fabricator, and build the upgunned variant—then mount small arms at the Armory.
